which one is a joke or….are they both real

“The Adventure of Many Lifetimes”

For thousands of years,
the human race has spread out across the Earth, scaling mountains and plying the oceans, planting crops and building highways, raising skyscrapers and atmospheric CO2 levels, and observing, with tremendous and unflagging enthusiasm, the Biblical injunction to be fruitful and multiply across our world’s every last nook, cranny and subdivision.

An invitation.
Earth has issues, and it’s time humanity got started on a Plan B. So, starting in 2014, Virgin founder Richard Branson and Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin will be leading hundreds of users on one of the grandest adventures in human history: Project Virgle, the first permanent human colony on Mars.
The question is, do you want to join us?
Ever yearned to journey to the stars? You can learn how to become a Virgle Pioneer, test your Pioneering potential, or join the Mission Control community that will help develop the 100 Year Plan we’ve outlined here.”

How do I use it?
Just click “Set custom time” from the Compose view. Any email you send to the past appears in the proper chronological order in your recipient’s inbox. You can opt for it to show up read or unread by selecting the appropriate option.
Is there a limit to how far back I can send email?
Yes. You’ll only be able to send email back until April 1, 2004, the day we launched Gmail. If we were to let you send an email from Gmail before Gmail existed, well, that would be like hanging out with your parents before you were born — crazy talk.
How does it work?
Gmail utilizes an e-flux capacitor to resolve issues of causality (see Grandfather Paradox).

They seem so far fetched but they could be real, and we know Richard Branson does strange things!

subway on the iphone by subtraction

subtraction subway map for the iphone

Tired of lurking over someone to see the subway map? Or trying to map something as your walking down the steps into the subway? Or Coming to NYC for a holiday. Check out the subway map by subtraction for the iphone.  See how easy it is….

“nstallation is easy. Just download the ZIP file, decompress it and import the contents into iPhoto. The tiles should automatically import in the proper order, starting with the top left tile, down to the bottom right tile (plus one more for the map key) . To be sure they have, resize your iPhoto thumbnails so you can see only four across at a time; together, they should look more or less like New York City. Create a new album called something like “Subway,” drag the newly imported images into it, and set your iPhone to sync with that album via iTunes. Then buy yourself a MetroCard and take the subway.”
