Whether you are for health care reform or not, one thing remains clear: the American public simply does not know enough about the legislation. As concerned citizens, our goal is simple, to raise awareness and create a dialogue. As the debate on health care reform continues to evolve, we feel that it is more important than ever to be aware of the issues and facts at hand. We are not taking a particular stance on health care reform. Rather we seek to inspire debate using satire and absurdity to re-frame the ongoing health care discussion. The following is a spoof movie trailer that explores the outlandish nature of the ongoing myth that illegal immigrants will receive free health care.
Check out this video from Prada. They streamed their runway show and following up on that, they have this little short directed by Yang Fudong from the spring collection titled “First Spring.”
Mass we Pray. No need to go to church when you can pray it on the wii. It’s a shame this is actually just a really great viral hoax in promotion of the video game Dante’s Inferno. A great comedic video promo for Wii Pray after the jump. [Read more]
I keep ending up on this site which means that it must be a pretty good promotion for a booze brand. Whether any of the girls or data is actually real (it’s real) is another story but, I bet if you’ve been drinking some DonQ it wouldn’t matter all that much anyway.
These ads for Converse One by Anomaly were too kooky not to mention. We would have liked to see the interactive banners regurlarly on our site because they are definitely fun to play with. You can see more of the Anomaly’s work here (Nice stuff guys!), And Converse, there’s a 300 x 600 up there that thinks you’re pretty cool…maybe you all should hang out?
If you loved the messing with Sasquatch commericals, you will love creating your own Sasquatch movie using the latest inovation artoolkit. Check it out and then have a look at the library of movies. The only downside you cannot embed examples…
Never Hide Films sent us a update on their new video for Ray Ban. Plus, you get a free MP3 of the track. We reached out to NHF, and they gave us the lowdown on the video.
“Earlier this year Ray-Ban had a “Never Hide Films” booth at the 2009 SXSW Music Festival in Austin, TX, where close to a thousand people were able to get in the booth and record 20 seconds of whatever they wanted. We then took the 900+ video clips and gave them to SqueakE Clean (the hot DJ duo otherwise knows as N.A.S.A). They edited the video together to make a music track. The ‘Never Hide’ that’s normally hidden in the online films is this time in audio towards the end of the piece.
The films launch online today on both YouTube, and, for the first time, on our new Facebook Fan Page that already has close to 700K fans. We’re also offering a free download of the track as an MP3 via a link in the ‘more info’ section of the video posting on YouTube.”
A very creative use of post-it notes. A Senior thesis project goes global.
“This is my senior project at Savannah College of Art and Design. Where my idea comes from is that every time when I am busy, I feel that I am not fighting with my works, I am fighting with those post-it notes and deadline. I manipulating the post-it notes to do pixel-like stop motion and there are some interactions between real actor and post-it.”
I think they might want to hire him to work on their next ad….or do they even need to now?
Two Playboy playmates and a Quiznos sub. According to the Denver Egotist, Quiznos claims they had nothing to do with the ad. If this is true, I think this is a step towards truly integrated ads. Quiznos wants to advertise on Playboy, so they let Playboy create a custom ad for their site/channel etc? Either way the ad is pretty good.
There were a lot of rumors about Star Wars filming in secret in LA. Luckily, it’s not a “new” version of Phantom Menace but an update to the Star Wars Star Tours Experience at Disney. I am not sure how good the experience will be but, the posters are pretty cool. See more of them here.
