Northeast Kingdom is a restaurant in Bushwick run by my friend Meg Lipke and her husband Paris Smeraldo,” Robert says. “It’s my favorite spot in all of Brooklyn. The ambiance is superb and everything on their menu is farm fresh, seasonal, beautifully prepared and really delicious! Last time I was there, I ordered the Bib Lettuce (Fava Bean, Onion, Pecorino, Lemon Baby) to start, followed by the Coq Au Vin (Pastured Chicken, Polenta, Bacon, Mushrooms). To drink, I usually opt for the Bulleit Rye Whiskey.”

Editor’s note: Northeast Kingdom also has one of the best sandwiches in Brooklyn, according to Brooklyn Magazine.
