“These artists represent the rebellious spirit that we very much connect with-mixing old with new, defying boundaries and creating fresh individual perspectives,” said Susanne Dawursk, Harley-Davidson director of Outreach Marketing. “The Art Of Rebellion is a must-see event that showcases the artists and supports the art community at large.”
We were blessed with a signed print by Frank Kozik to give away to one lucky reader, so to make it interesting, we ask that you submit your favorite moment/image of Harley-Davidson history. To give you an idea, see after the jump.

My own favorite personal image (memory) of the ‘Harley-Davidson’ concept of rebellion occured about 20 years ago.
My friend had parked his H-D Sportster (also an 883 ci) adjacent to an impromptu Evangelist squad that had set-up shop on the corner of 6th Ave and Wash Sqr North.
The God Squad had commandeered the brick wall just west of 6th to illustrate various Biblical scenes that would complement their proselytizing.
My friend, a vehement aetheist, hopped on his bike, and made sure that the throttle was wide open when he fired-up.
The group in question was directly behind the ’straigh-pipes’ of the bike (ie, ‘muffler-less’), and was subject to an apocalyptic blast the likes of which I’m sure they had never experienced.
He put the ‘fear of God’ into them (or at least HD), so to speak.
