Juxtapoz Photography Issue

I received this issue in the mail yesterday and I have to say that it is really lame. The photographers for the most part are great (some I feel like are taken from a greatest hits reel) but, how they are presented is not that great. Each photographer gets one image shown, and most of the time these are not their most powerful shots. There is no info on them besides their name in that ugly rockwell type font, and on top of that, the issue has no content. If you’re going to dedicate an entire issue to images, at least present them well, show a variety, and don’t do two page spreads where the middle of the image is lost on the glossy. Weak sauce.

  1. I completely agree. Usualy there is also some text, with maybe some background to the photographer… But, NOTHING!
Half the time i couldn’t tell between the AD. soaked pages and the photos themselves.

    Super Dissapointed with this issue…

  2. THANK YOU! I got this in the mail the other and I usually devour every new issue, read the interviews and stare at all the cool artwork. I picked this up, flipped through it and was like “WTF?” tossed it. I hated this issue. I didn’t even think the photography was that good.

    Thumbs down.
